Finding Your Happy: 16 Guidelines for Life gives practical tools for making everyday life better. By noticing our patterns of thinking, speaking and acting, and understanding how our minds work through mindfulness and self-enquiry, we can find lasting happiness. Equipped with better knowledge of ourselves we can break through our limiting beliefs, transform our relationships, make better decisions, and find peace of mind even on the most difficult of days.
Neuroscientists have shown that each of us has the potential to continue developing our minds, regardless of our age and life experiences. During the course, you’ll explore universal qualities like compassion, mindfulness, wisdom, and kindness. You’ll find practical ways to live more happily, which will benefit you and the people around you. The 16 Guidelines which form the basis of the workshop are a contemporary presentation of ancient wisdom. They appear consistently in the philosophical, spiritual and religious traditions of the world, even if they’re not always put into practice. Learning to apply them to everyday situations can bring about real and lasting personal transformation and resilience.
We will explore key attitudes for developing a mindful culture in our family and community, in education, healthcare, or business. The focus will be on mindfulness, enquiry, and ethics using the 16 Guidelines (16G).
16 Guidelines is a tried and tested experiential course with activities, discussion, presentations, and video clips. In a relaxed, enjoyable and supportive environment you will be introduced to practical daily self-care tools designed to:
- Increase emotional resilience and confidence
- Build positive relationships and communities
- Achieve a greater sense of well-being and purpose
Each course participant is provided with 16 Guidelines book and 16 Guidelines cars for further practice.

What happens after the Level 1 Workshop?
Level 1 Workshop provides an introduction to the 16G, so it is suited for those new to the 16G as well as anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of them or for those intending to become accredited 16G trainers. After the workshop, your practice can be supported by our app, book, and cards. But more importantly, we will organize Building on Basics follow-on study sessions that have been designed to commence after a 16G Level 1 workshop, providing participants with an opportunity to integrate their experience and understanding of the 16G into everyday life. Experience has shown that this is also a very helpful way to enjoy ongoing support and a sense of 16G community.
