Foundation of Mindfulness – is Level 1 course of Foundation of MIND TRAINING, and will be given on Fall 2019 by Kaisa Kaul
Level 2 is Foundation of Selflessness – will be given for the first time on Fall 2019 by Martin Ström – MONDAYS 18:00 – 20:15, starting August 19
Level 3 is Foundation of Compassion – will probably be given at Spring 2020 by Martin Ström

In this course, you will learn the basics of mindfulness meditation. The course Foundations of Mindfulness was created by world-renowned meditation teacher Glen Svensson and is based o the teachings of Dr. Alan Wallace.
In this course, you will learn to cultivate a calm, clear and focused mind. You will learn how to cultivate mindfulness, and how to apply mindfulness in your daily life. The program includes stillness or focus meditation (shamatha) and insight meditation (vipashyana).
The first five sessions are about cultivating a mind that is focused, relaxed and at ease. This is called focus or shamatha. In a world of crazy distractions and scattered this is more important than ever.
The last three sessions are about using the mindfulness we have cultivated to understand our own thoughts, mental habits, reactions and emotions better. In order for us to live happy, peaceful lives where we contribute to our own and other happiness this is necessary. This is called insight or vipashyana.
