How to meditate - Kaisa

This a great opportunity to learn the very basics about how to meditate – or refine your existing meditations skills. You´ll learn the definition and purpose of meditation, different meditation techniques, how to sit, how to set up a session, and how to deal with obstacles to meditation. – So practical course.

We start with “How to meditate” – Module Two of Discovering Buddhism Course – on Wednesday 7/11 at 18.00.
This is a weekly course with 6 sessions, always on Wenesdys, from November 7 – to December 12.
Open for everyone, no previous experiences needed.

Those who take the entire course – will get audios, meditations, and transcripts for each session.
The sessions follow the audio-teachings, presented in a very pedagogical way – just in order to support your mind and learning.

Observe that the day retreat we have at the end of Module Two, as well an “exam” in co-operation with Kaisa – there is a separate cost for that.

Buddhism is also called “The Buddhist Science of Mind”, and can be studied on many levels. DB is an introductory course in Buddhism, its philosophy and psychology, suitable for you who want to learn more about Buddhism, and for you who want to deepen your practice and knowledge.
This study course is part of FPMT Educational Programs. Our center is affiliated with fpmt.org. The audios are created by Venerable Sangye Khadro, alias Kathleen McDonald who is also the author for the bestselling book “How to meditate” – which we have in our Bookshop to be at the center. Her book introduces a variety of different meditation techniques and is a real treasure. As well as Alan Wallace´s book “Shamatha and the Four Immeasurables” which you also find in our Bookshop!
