Introduction to Iyengar Yoga

Iyengar Yoga helps you gain better concentration, strength, and stamina. Perhaps, the immediate effect of Iyengar Yoga is a sound sleep. Gradually you will master the tools for restoring your energy and deep relaxation.
This course is for you if you are new to Iyengar Yoga. You will learn about the basic principles of the Iyengar Yoga method. We practice basic poses and develop stability, balance, and strength. We will use different props to adjust poses to individual needs.
If you want to come to one or a few classes, you can choose Single Session ticket.
Classes are held in Swedish or English.

Zarina Osmonalieva has an undergraduate degree in psychology and PhD in entrepreneurship. She has been studying Buddhist philosophy in Europe and India. She is a certified Iyengar Yoga and Cultivating Emotional Balance teacher.
The teacher education in the Iyengar Yoga method has been refined over many years by BKS Iyengar. To become a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher one needs to devote years to their practice, study and examination of skills. The Certification Mark demonstrates that teachers are committed to keeping the purity and high standards of Iyengar Yoga. Teachers teach only the Iyengar method without mixing it with other styles, have regular personal practice, continue their studies with senior Iyengar Yoga teachers in India and outside and follow ethical principles set forth by Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in Pune, India.
The young, the aged, the diseased, and the weak – all may take to the practice of yoga and derive its benefits without hindrance.
