This is an introductory course on Buddhist psychology and philosophy, also touching the Four Noble Truths of Aryas. Indeed a good start for a beginner. Then you might continue to next level of studies, such as Discovering Buddhism study course - which first modules offer valuable insight into the nature of mind, and meditation-techniques. - And you do not need to become a "Buddhist", "just become a better of what you already are ", as Dalai Lama puts it.
She was a Lama Yeshe disciple - and chose Buddhism instead of Black Panthers at the ´60s, that was a great challenge at that time!
